Stylish ‘Toad’ easy chair, designed by Ruud Ekstrand & Christer Norman, and manufactured by the iconic DUX of Sweden - circa 1968.
Muted navy/dark blue full grain leather, sat on a satin grey powder coated base - all buttons are present on each cushion.
This beautiful piece has had one proud owner since new - who has gone to the effort of professionally reupholstering every cushion and seat, along with replacing the foams. Additionally, the canvas slings have been replaced, meaning that these chairs have plenty of life left in them, and remain structurally sound.
The perfect Mid Century Modern accent for any room! Each chair can be sat individually, or ‘connected’ together to create a sofa.

‘Back in the late 60’s, Ruud Ekstrand and Christer Norman designed this iconic lounge chair. In the simplest possible way, where a carrier fabric is suspended on a metal frame. The thick lovely cushion with deep stitches gives a lovely sitting comfort. Provides plenty of space for one person but if you want to sit tight it even works for two. Proudly produced in Sweden!’
The Formula range was first developed in collaboration with DUX, but later relaunched by the company David Design (Sweden).
